The Owasso Character Council’s annual Character Luncheon celebrates the power of character in shaping our community. It’s a time to recognize the values we share, honor those who live them out, and raise funds for the Council’s ongoing work—including our annual $5,000 scholarship.
This year’s special guest, Dan Mahoney, is the Vice President of Broadcasting & Corporate Communications with Oklahoma City Thunder. With decades of experience in communications, broadcasting, and public service, Dan brings a unique perspective on resilience, community and the stories that shape Oklahoma. His work with the Thunder and years in Oklahoma communications have given him a front-row seat to the value of strength and character of community.

Join Us for a Monthly Character Connection—Conversation Around Character!
You are invited to join us for a monthly lunch where we connect through meaningful conversations about character. This is a space where character awareness meets personal growth, and we inspire one another in the process.
Character Connection meets at the Bailey Ranch Golf Clubhouse Grille on the last Wednesday of each month, January through September.
- 11:30-12:00 Socialize and each lunch
- 12:00-1:00 Character introduction and group discussion
